As Bassie and Adriaan drive further into Death Valley past the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Bassie suddenly asks Adriaan how far it is to the sea. Adriaan says it's about 300 km, to which Bassie points out and jokes: "And those are the dunes? Then they have a wide beach here too!"
