The interior and exterior shots of the police station were shot in the building at Gansstraat 170 in Utrecht. The shots were taken in the former building of the Pieter Baan Center. A psychiatric observation clinic opened on this road in 1949. Psychiatrist Pieter Baan was put in charge of the clinic. In 1978, the psychiatric observation clinic moved to a new building further down the same street. The clinic was renamed the Pieter Baan Center. In the fall of 2018, the clinic moved from Utrecht to Almere.
