Vince is tied to a work of art in the sea. This artwork, "De Streken," is erected every year in the sea near the village of Oosterend on Terschelling.
De Streken is a tribute to Joop Mulder, the founder of Oerol. After his death on January 10, 2021, his vision lives on in future editions of the festival and in De Streken: a landscape artwork by artist Marc van Vliet. With the realization of this unique structure, the organization honors its founder and his lasting influence.
The artwork is erected every year in early June on the dike near Oosterend and remains in place throughout the summer months until mid-September. For Joop Mulder, De Streken was an iconic location from which to experience the Wadden Sea landscape in a unique way.
