Trevor arrives in London with the baby via Piccadilly Circus. Piccadilly Circus, along with Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square, is one of London's most famous squares. Piccadilly Circus was built in 1819 to connect Piccadilly with the new Regent Street, designed by John Nash. A circus was the name for a circular square. This square lost its shape with the construction of Shaftesbury Avenue in 1886. Piccadilly Circus is also known for the large neon signs that were placed on the buildings surrounding the square in the 20th century. These signs now remain only on the building on the northwest side of the square. The London Underground station of the same name is located beneath the square, served by trains on the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines. There is an underground entrance at each corner of Piccadilly Circus.
